In order to preserve urban green spaces, prevent potential hazards caused by falling branches in the autumn season, and improve the city’s visual appearance, pruning, securing, and removal of dry and hazardous tree branches are being carried out across streets, parks, and city squares. This plan is being implemented through the efforts of experts and specialized teams from the urban green space unit of the municipality’s Urban Image, Landscape, and Green Space Organization, using mechanized equipment. With the arrival of autumn and the possibility of heavy precipitation, dry and damaged branches, as well as those that might fall or obstruct drivers’ and pedestrians’ traffic visibility, have been identified and placed at the top of the pruning schedule. In addition to making streets safer and preventing unfortunate incidents for citizens and passing vehicles, this measure will play a significant role in better bud growth in trees during spring, controlling plant pests and diseases, and maintaining the overall health of trees.
According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of Arak Metropolitan Municipality, in order to increase the safety factor on the southern ring road, the installation of 75 flower guards was carried out on this route. This measure was taken to prevent traffic accidents and create a more orderly appearance on the southern ring road. This project is part of the municipality's broader programs in improving traffic infrastructure and enhancing citizens' quality of life.
Underpasses and low-lying areas can quickly fill with water during heavy rain. If you see flooding, choose another route.
During heavy rainfall, do not go near riverbanks, flood channels, and waterways. Even if there is only a small amount of water flowing at the moment, there is a possibility of a sudden increase in the volume and speed of the water.
Strong wind and heavy rain can cause branches to break, trees to fall, or temporary structures to be damaged. Do not stop in dangerous places during strong winds.
If a cable or electrical equipment has fallen due to rain and wind, do not go near it and report the matter to the responsible authorities. Even a wire that appears to be without power can be dangerous.
If you encounter a severely flooded area while driving, do not take risks. If possible, stop in a safe place and avoid continuing through deep water.
