In order to preserve urban green spaces, prevent potential hazards caused by falling branches in the autumn season, and improve the city’s visual appearance, pruning, securing, and removal of dry and hazardous tree branches are being carried out across streets, parks, and city squares.
This plan is being implemented through the efforts of experts and specialized teams from the urban green space unit of the municipality’s Urban Image, Landscape, and Green Space Organization, using mechanized equipment.
With the arrival of autumn and the possibility of heavy precipitation, dry and damaged branches, as well as those that might fall or obstruct drivers’ and pedestrians’ traffic visibility, have been identified and placed at the top of the pruning schedule.
In addition to making streets safer and preventing unfortunate incidents for citizens and passing vehicles, this measure will play a significant role in better bud growth in trees during spring, controlling plant pests and diseases, and maintaining the overall health of trees.
