According to the Communications and International Affairs Department of the Arak Metropolitan Municipality, a specialized meeting to review investment projects in the Gerdou Valley tourism and recreation area was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Alireza Mahmoudi, Mayor of Arak. In this meeting, development strategies, the method of attracting investors, and the requirements for improving the level of urban services in this area were evaluated. The Mayor of Arak, emphasizing the necessity of implementing projects that are “prominent, modern, and in line with current standards,” stated: The Arak Metropolitan Municipality seeks to provide a level of services that not only satisfies citizens in general, but also meets the expectations of the younger generation and is compatible with the modern urban lifestyle. Referring to the strategic position of the Gerdou Valley tourism area in the city’s recreational future, he added: Investment projects in this area must be designed and implemented in such a way that they turn Arak into one of the urban tourism hubs in Markazi Province. The Mayor of Arak also announced special facilities for local investors and said: Investors who are among Arak citizens and invest in their own city will, in a special way, benefit from special attention and support, economic incentives, and the facilitation of administrative processes. In another part of the meeting, Dr. Alireza Mahmoudi expressed appreciation for the support of the Governor of Markazi in advancing the development of tourism and recreational infrastructure in the Gerdou Valley tourism and recreation area. Praising the development-oriented approach of the Markazi Governor’s Office, the Mayor of Arak stated: The Governor of Markazi is among the technical, capable, and concerned managers in the field of urban development, who pay special attention to expanding tourism spaces and improving the recreational infrastructure of Arak. The Gerdou Valley tourism and recreation area, as one of Arak’s most important natural and tourism capacities, has in recent years been at the center of urban management development plans, and the implementation of new investment projects in this area will play an effective role in economic prosperity, increased social vitality, and the enhancement of Arak’s urban brand.
