According to the report of the communications and international affairs department of the municipality of the metropolis of Arak, the meeting of the facade committee of the municipality of the metropolis of Arak was held with the presence of committee members and engineering system experts in the urban planning and architecture department. The main focus of these meetings is on improving the quality of urban facades and preserving the identity of Iranian architecture. In the first part of this meeting, committee members emphasized the necessity of unifying the urban appearance, prohibiting and eliminating inappropriate and non-native patterns, including Roman facades and non-standard materials. Present experts stated that the continuation of facades lacking identity, in addition to increasing construction costs, causes visual chaos and distances the city from authentic architectural patterns. In the continuation of the meeting, the prioritization of projects based on native patterns and in harmony with the historical and cultural fabric of Arak was discussed, and adherence to technical, structural, and correct design principles in the preparation and execution of building facades in the referred files was emphasized. In the summary section, the facade committee set agendas for improving the supervision process of construction projects and enhancing the quality of facades. Additionally, the files of designers and design offices across the city were carefully evaluated according to the approved regulations to ensure better coordination of designs with urban architectural guidelines. At the end of the meeting, it was announced that the committee for reviewing facade designs in the urban planning and architecture department of the Arak municipality would be held weekly on Saturdays and Tuesdays. The goal of this regular planning was stated to be increasing productivity, reducing processing time, and respecting the rights of clients.
