According to Shahr News and Analysis Website, the inauguration ceremony of seven impactful infrastructure projects as part of the 222nd Hope and Pride campaign, along with the awarding of prizes to punctual citizens in Tehran, was held this afternoon, July 3, 1405, with the presence of Alireza Zakani, Mayor of Tehran, Mehdi Chamran, Chairman of the City Council, Abbas Shabani, Deputy Mayor for Technical and Urban Development of Tehran Municipality, and a group of city managers.

Abbas Shabani, Deputy Mayor for Technical and Urban Development of Tehran Municipality, said at this ceremony, while explaining the latest status of the capital's infrastructure projects: By today, about 1,750 days have passed since the start of the sixth term of city management, and during this period 550 projects have been inaugurated across various districts of Tehran, of which 194 projects were related to the infrastructure sector.

He added that the infrastructure projects implemented, in terms of scale and volume of operations, are among major urban projects, and said: If we exclude the holidays from this period, on average one infrastructure project has been inaugurated in Tehran every five days. I do not think such a volume of infrastructure projects has been put into operation in different periods of city management.

Shabani, expressing appreciation for the efforts of the staff and executive teams in the infrastructure sector, said: Our colleagues, despite all the problems and limitations, have worked day and night. Even the conditions caused by the war added to the existing problems, but the implementation of projects did not stop and infrastructure activities continued with strength.

The Deputy Mayor for Technical and Urban Development of Tehran Municipality, referring to the progress of the projects, said: In 1400, the physical progress of the projects was about 22 percent, but today this figure has almost doubled. Also, in the area of statements and document registration, about 90 percent progress has been achieved, which indicates greater order and speed in project implementation.

He then referred to some notable projects and said: At Sepah Square, the traffic light on the north-to-south route, which for years caused vehicles to stop, will be removed and traffic on this route will flow without a signal. Also, the underpass structure of this project has been designed and executed in such a way that it does not interfere in any way with the Shahid Motevaselian Highway project, and simultaneous implementation of both projects is possible.

Referring to the Chitgar Lake project, Shabani said: Our previous project was related to Chitgar Lake, and completing the ring of this complex is of special importance. In this project, property conflicts have been resolved and its first phase has also been put into operation.

He described the inauguration of the grade-separated intersection of Hakim Highway with Ta'avon Boulevard as another important project and added: This project had been foreseen in Tehran's comprehensive plan and has now been put into operation.

The Deputy Mayor for Technical and Urban Development of Tehran Municipality also referred to the removal of one of the capital's major traffic bottlenecks and said: The intersection of Hemmat Highway and Valiasr Street (AS) was one of Tehran's 10 main traffic bottlenecks, which was resolved through the implementation of an infrastructure project in this area.

He continued: The Farahzad River Valley project is also one of the important urban plans that connects the north and south axes to each other and will play an important role in improving accessibility and enhancing the quality of the urban environment.

Shabani announced the implementation of asphalt paving operations on the north-to-west axis of Yadegar-e Emam Highway (RA) and said: This route will soon be handed over to citizens after the completion of the execution operations.

In conclusion, the Deputy Mayor for Technical and Urban Development of Tehran Municipality, referring to the upcoming plans of this deputy office, stated: By the end of the current year, 20 important infrastructure projects that are being implemented by the Deputy Mayor for Technical and Urban Development of Tehran Municipality and outside the district projects will be completed and handed over to the citizens of Tehran.
