According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Department of the Arak Metropolitan Municipality, following citizens’ requests, a series of development and corrective measures were carried out in recent days in the historic fabric area of Arak. These measures included the repair and restoration of 120 meters of paving on Imam Khomeini Street (RA) opposite the historic bazaar, the installation of 80 meters of curbstones, the repair of the stone pavement on Mohseni Street sidewalk, the repair of the metal hatch in Arg Square, and asphalt patching in the amount of 30 tons. Also, in order to improve the safety of streets and enhance the urban landscape, worn-out and unused public telephone booths were removed from the area. In addition, to prevent possible incidents, the necessary warnings were issued for properties located within the historic fabric area that may pose a danger to pedestrians or buildings that are at risk of collapse. These measures were carried out to improve infrastructure quality, increase safety, and enhance the urban appearance in Arak’s historic fabric, and are considered an effective step in responding to citizens’ demands.
